Factory ships
ABSTRACT
Most of these images were taken in and around the Grimsby docks, except 'Shellshock', which I found under an arch in Florence' Italy in 1985. The original images are far better than the graphic reproductions, bar the record cover 'Shellshock' by New Order. Some of these photographs were also used in their songbook/sheetmusic opus 'X'. Subsequently Tony Wilson and Factory stumped up some of the money which formed the basis of an exhibition at DRY bar in Manchester, 1991. Those photos were 72" x 48" and they looked stunning. Still do!
