This is a project I have been involved with since 2006 when I went to stay in Bari, Puglia, Italy. Michele owns two small pieces of land and on one of them he spends the morning farming his fig, almond and olive trees until noon. He is in his early 80's and I have been photographing him over the years and during different parts of the season. Sadly this year he has sold one of his cherished small-holdings, where most of the photo's were taken and given up 'farming' altogether.
